Wine Region Near Valencia
Just one hour from Valencia lies the Utiel-Requena wine region, one of the oldest wine-producing areas in Spain. Archaeological sites such as Solana de las Pilillas reveal that wine has been produced in this landscape for more than 2,500 years.
Today the region is best known for Bobal, a native grape variety that produces fresh and expressive wines increasingly appreciated internationally. The region combines historic wineries, underground wine caves and vineyard landscapes that make it one of the most interesting wine destinations near Valencia.
